Gerard Manley Hopkins declared: “The world is charged with the grandeur of God.” His poem went on to muse on the reasons why we don’t perceive that glory. Gerald McDermott’s book has the same goal. In Everyday Glory: The Revelation of God in All of Reality, McDermott explains the theological and cultural obstacles that prevent us from recognizing Creation as an epiphany. On this Friday Feature he summarizes the arguments of his book with Ken Myers.
