Andrew Spencer
Andrew Spencer is Books Editor for The Gospel Coalition. Born and raised in rural Western New York, he went on to graduate from the United States Naval Academy with a degree in English. He is a plankowner on the USS Jimmy Carter and as a shift engineer at the Naval Nuclear Power Training Unit in Goose Creek, South Carolina. His varied professional experience also includes being an instructor at two commercial nuclear power plants and serving on the administration of Oklahoma Baptist University. He earned a Ph.D. from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. He is the author or editor of several books, including Hope for God’s Creation: Stewardship in an Age of Futility, Doctrine in Shades of Green: Theological Perspective for Environmental Ethics, and The Christian Mind of C. S. Lewis: Essays in Honor of Michael Travers. He is an elder at CrossPointe Church in Monroe, Michigan.
