Our flagship product, the Mars Hill Audio Journal, is an audio magazine featuring two–three hours of conversation with perceptive and engaging thinkers on each quarterly volume. Guests on the Journal examine the ideas, institutions, preoccupations, and fashionable assumptions that shape our cultural lives.

These programs include new and archive interviews, readings from important journal and magazine articles, lectures by important scholars, and the occasional illustrated essay about seasonal music. The ten most recent Features are available to all listeners from our app, and the most recent one is available on our home page. Members have access to hundreds of past Friday Features and may download them to the app for later listening.

Audio provided by our Partners are often distributed as Bonus Features, so designated because they’ve not been part of our weekly Friday Features feed. These include lectures and “audio reprints” — readings from magazines, journals, and blog posts.

Some of the most popular segments from past issues of our Journal are now available as self-contained Archive Features. Some of these interviews have long been available only on aging audio cassettes, so we’re happy to revive them for new listeners.
