Gift memberships are a wonderful way to introduce friends and family to Mars Hill Audio!
You have several choices when it comes to giving a gift membership:

Starter membership ($27 one-time payment)
This 4-month membership makes a thoughtful gift for discerning friends, colleagues, and family members. It enables web and app access to our entire audio collection. There is no automatic renewal, but recipients are notified before the membership expires and invited to sign up themselves.
Yearly membership ($77/year)
Save on a MHA membership by paying for a year’s worth of access to our entire audio collection via web and app. There is no automatic renewal, but recipients are notified before the membership expires and invited to sign up themselves.
Classic membership ($47/year)
This option makes a good gift for listeners who may not have smartphones or other mobile devices but who still want access to the Journal via the web and as downloadable mp3 files. It also serves listeners who want access only to the Journal (as well as to the free-for-everyone Friday Features). Classic members without mobile devices have access to the 10 most recent Friday Features via a page on our website titled Recent Friday Features. (This page only appears for Classic membership holders; they can hover over Friday Features in the Catalog menu tab to select Recent Friday Features.)
Will I be notified when the gift membership is about to expire?
Unfortunately, in our new system we are unable to notify gift givers when their recipient’s membership is about to expire. However, gift recipients will receive notice in advance of their membership expiring and will be invited to renew their membership themselves.
How do I order multiple gift memberships?
You will need to go through the order process for each gift recipient. In our new system we are unable to process one order for multiple recipients.
Can I schedule the delivery of a gift membership?
Unfortunately, our new system is not able to schedule the delivery of a gift membership for a future date and time. The gift recipient will be notified of his or her gift membership as soon as the order is placed.
What is the process for ordering a gift membership?
At the bottom menu of any page on our website, you will see the option to “Give a membership.” (Alternatively, you may click on the specific gift membership links above on this page.) When you click on the specific membership you would like to order as a gift, the sign-up page includes important information at the top.
You will see this statement: “If it’s a gift, enter your contact information below, and then don’t forget to check the box below the postal code field. (Maybe you should check it now, before you forget!)” (See sample image below.)
It is very important that you check the “Is this a gift?” box at the bottom of the address field! It looks like this:
Fill out this first page with YOUR contact information. Then click the Sign Up button. On the next screen, you will enter your payment information. NOTE: You will be asked for the name and e-mail address of the gift recipient after you’ve entered your own contact and payment information. Once you hit Submit, you will see this pop-up window:
Complete the form with the gift recipient’s information, and he or she will be sent an e-mail message letting them know about their gift membership. This message will give them instructions on setting up their account and membership.
You will receive e-mail confirmation about your gift membership order. You will also see this gift membership order appear on your Account page (accessible from the top menu bar of any page on the website). Once on your Account page, choose the subheading that says “Gifts,” and you will see the information about your order (including a PDF copy of the invoice that you may download for your records). The page will look something like this:
