Volume 148 of the Journal features interviews about two compelling Christian writers: Christina Rossetti and George MacDonald. As companions to those new interviews, here are two interviews from our archives about these two figures. First, from Volume 12 (1994), Alan Jacobs talks about the theme of renunciation in Christina Rossetti’s poems. Then, from Volume 76 (2005), Stephen Prickett looks at aspects of nineteenth-century Romanticism from which MacDonald’s work emerges.
