Dr. Kimbell Kornu was recently appointed Provost’s Professor of Bioethics, Theology, and Christian Formation at Belmont University. In that position he will be teaching students at a new venture of Belmont: the Thomas F. Frist, Jr. College of Medicine. Kornu’s preparation for his new post includes years of clinical practice as well as an M.D. from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School and a Ph.D. in theology from the University of Nottingham. In this Feature, he talks with Ken Myers about how the training of medical professionals should be shaped by a recognition of a Christian understanding of personhood.
