The books of Frederick Buechner have long been companions for many Christian readers. Buechner — who died on August 15th at the age of 96 — was a Presbyterian minister and the author of almost 40 books, including fiction, essays, and memoirs. In 1996, Ken Myers talked with him about The Eyes of the Heart: A Memoir of the Lost and Found, a conversation presented in today’s Feature. Also heard are two interviews with novelist Ron Hansen (Mariette in Ecstasy, Atticus, etc.) about the craft of writing fiction.
