The wisdom of historian Christopher Lasch (1932–1994) has been a point of reference in many of the interviews heard on Mars Hill Audio since we began. Just months after Lasch died, Ken Myers talked with one of Lasch’s students, Dominic Aquila, about Lasch’s insights into how trends in late modern culture were evidenced in the state of the arts and arts institutions. Another past guest (on Volume 77 and 103) was Eric Miller, author of the acclaimed biography, Hope in a Scattered Time: A Life of Christopher Lasch. In addition to presenting the complete Aquila interview and portions of two interviews with Miller, this Friday Feature includes a recent conversation with Jeremy Beer, author of one of our latest Audio Reprints, “On Christopher Lasch.”
