In 2008, we talked with Maggie Jackson, the author of Distracted: The Erosion of Attention and the Coming Dark Age. Ten years later, her book is even more relevant in identifying some of the causes of our inability to attend to books, ideas, and each other — and the price we pay for inattention. A new paperback edition of Distracted has been issued, and on this Friday Feature Ken Myers talks with Jackson about how her concerns have deepened.
