Jeremy Beer
Jeremy Beer is the co-founder and executive chairman of AmPhil, a national professional services firm that serves mission-driven enterprises. At AmPhil Jeremy works with nonprofit organizations on matters related to strategy, leadership and management, board development, and major gifts fundraising. He also hosts AmPhil’s Givers, Doers, and Thinkers podcast. Prior to co-founding AmPhil, Jeremy was the editor in chief at ISI Books.
Jeremy received his B.A. from Indiana University and his Ph.D. in psychology from the University of Texas at Austin. He writes and speaks frequently on a wide range of topics, including philanthropy, religion, and sports, with a particular focus on biography. His books include The Philanthropic Revolution: An Alternative History of American Charity, Oscar Charleston: The Life and Legend of Baseball’s Greatest Forgotten Player, and Beyond the Devil’s Road: Francisco Garcés and the Spanish Encounter with the American Southwest. Jeremy lives in Phoenix, Arizona, with his wife, Kara.
