Mark G. Malvasi

Mark G. Malvasi is Isaac Newton Vaughan Professor of History, Randolph-Macon College. He earned a B.A. from Hiram College in Hiram, Ohio in 1980, an M.A. in history from the University of Chicago in 1981, and a Ph. D. in history from the University of Rochester in 1991, where he completed a dissertation under the supervision of Eugene D. Genovese.  Since 1992, Malvasi has taught American and European history at Randolph-Macon College in Ashland, Virginia.  He is the author or editor of nine books and dozens of essays, reviews, and editorials.
